Improvements to manager mode?
What would you do to improve manager mode? I would love to have a Jr squad or be able to play my youth squad games. With so much room on the disc now, they could expand the Youth academy rosters and let us play those games and then have the players progress through playing that way.Beavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA HoopsTags: None -
Re: Improvements to manager mode?
It's not ideal, but if you go into Man Marking under Team Management in the pre-match menu, you can at least see your opponent's starters and formation. I think you can access player ratings from there as well (it displays OVR) by bringing up the player profile.Comment

Re: Improvements to manager mode?
All good suggestions. I love the news stories, and would love to continue to see that expand. Would absolutely enjoy to see the other leagues top goal scorers, as I believe you can only see the tables. League records for teams and players would be AMAZING, as well as more of an emphasis on team grudge matches.
It'd also be great if they didnt talk about players theyre surprised to see in the lineup every single game. This is so old already. They need to fix form also. 95% of the players that play have good form on my team. The one sthat dont have good form, dont have bad form. So strange.TB Lightning | Liverpool | Panathinaikos | Toronto FC

Re: Improvements to manager mode?
About using man marking to see your opponent's lineup pre-match... I tried to do that last night and all I saw were positions with blanks where the names & ratings should be. I'm fairly certain I used this before on NG, and I know it worked on 360/PS3, so I don't know if it was a one-off bug or what. Guess I'll try it next time I play.
Being able to see player stats from previous seasons would be great, even if it was only for your club(s). I think some of the old WE games on PS2 allowed you to scroll through player stats by seasons. It was cool to see how your team changed over the years, when players had big seasons, etc.Last edited by Qb; 02-28-2014, 09:40 AM.Comment

Re: Improvements to manager mode?
I'm going to do an article on this exact topic for FIFA Soccer Blog shortly, I just want to get through the winter transfer window before I do. That way I have three transfer windows under my belt in my CM. I want to see how the CPU spends it's money, if the big clubs continually add, or if they remain stagnant. Has anyone played through 5 seasons or more? How does the CPU fare over time?Comment

Re: Improvements to manager mode?
Simple Improvement that I think would make the game so much better.
I'm tired of when wanting to make a substitution, needing to go to main menu, manage squad, and then make changes, then exit out. Often i think about making sub but only have 10 min left so i think what the hell, and not mess with taking the time to make the change
It would be nice to simply be able to pause game and instantly bring up sub screen, make a change, and right back to game. Something even to effect that the player you are controlling when you pause is already designated as the guy to be replaced.Comment

Re: Improvements to manager mode?
With the inclusion of global transfer market make it easier to remove players from the short list (what's with the lag)
I'm down for a junior team but I'd be fine with being able where I'm loaning my players so I can know if they will play.
Why am I making money for winning tourneys and the my table placement when the transfer market is over and I get a budget that does me t include that money?
Easier sorting through players in the Gtn
If i get an American player and he says he's home sick I should have to sell him to an mls team.Comment

Re: Improvements to manager mode?
Just want to start off saying great game! really enjoying.
*Some changes are being able to easier sort the Global market
*Having people on your shortlist and further scouting them to see there overall rating
*Having the option of having different lineups regarding the players, sometime i want one forward or two and i hate going in and changing the players
*more goals added from owner then just finishing mid table, like get younger, go all out
*more stories
*more interaction with the players
These are some of my top ones that i could think off.Comment

I think if they added a dozen to 20 new stories every iteration, after a few years theyd have a boatload. I'm happy with the number they have now, happy as in they dont have too few, but I'd definitely like to see more, and also love for the stories to be a tad more dynamic.
I also really agree with the saving of different lineups, so you can select the lineup preset, itll give you the formation you want with the base players and you just need to swap a few players.TB Lightning | Liverpool | Panathinaikos | Toronto FC

Re: Improvements to manager mode?
ref saving formations
i dont have a next gen version
but in thecurrent gen you could.....
set up your players for say a 4-4-2 change the spacing even slightly and save as an edited formation called whatever
change formation to 3-52 change the players and save as an edited formation keep going till you have all your different settings saved
then pre game just pick the edited formation you want and all changes including players are saved and uploaded
dont forget to resave everything when you sell or buy a player

Re: Improvements to manager mode?
Let us edit player primary and secondary positions. mostly for youth academy reasons.
Add a stadium builder and kit builder and let us import them. Then let us edit both the team stadium and kits at the beginning of each season. This way when we build a lower league team up to a contender, we can have a modern stadium and kits without it being weird when we first start the career.
like someone else mentioned, lets have the option to have youth and reserve games. I probably wouldn't play them personally, but I wouldn't mind setting up the roster and then sim it. It would let us keep tabs on youth progression.Comment

Re: Improvements to manager mode?
Two big requests from me.
1) More depth to international management
-I know licensing is an issue with international teams, but there are way too many generic kits for the teams that are included in the game. In order to keep making the international part of the game interesting there needs to be enough teams from each region to create the tournaments outside of the world cup. Allow me to schedule my own friendlies, add in a world ranking system. These are just a few things I'd like to see, but mostly just increase the number of international teams. Oh and side note on the teams that are included, there's no reason I shouldn't be able to scout for youth players from a country that has an international team in the game. I took the manager job at Wales, and was going to hope to add young talent to the pool through scouting for my club team, only to find Wales isn't an option when searching for youth players.
2) Watching my team play, or just managing games
-I love building a club, but sometimes I just want to see how those players I brought in or developed play. When I am stuck actually playing the games myself I always end up in a never ending cycle of messing with sliders, ending up with a game that's too easy, or way too hard. Let me just handle subs and strategies throughout the game, but not actually have to control the players. Nothing would be more satisfying than watching a team of guys I brought through my youth system win a championship on their own merit, not my skills.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights
