Do you guys have this turned on or off? If on is called too much?

Actually, it has been pretty good from what I can tell. Sometimes it will give a random penalty. A couple of fut games ago I won 2-1 on a handball penalty in the box during extra time. Sometimes the cpu wins on these as well, it seems to even out. But for the most part it is fun to play with.

I play with it on. I get about 2 called a game. Usually one each way.

It's nowhere near as sensitive as it was when they first introduced it (FIFA 12 I think?). You could bank on 2-3 penalties a game. Much more reasonable now.

I had no idea this even existed, maybe it's because I play online? Are there even handballs online?

Nope*, unfortunately. If it's in the game, it might be in the game, if we want it.

*They will call it on keepers once in a while, but I've only seen it about 3 times since I've got the game.

After maybe 60 games or so with handballs on, I turned it off. I agree with the above statement that's not nearly as bad as it used to be, but you can still count on a handball being called for a penalty, a little too often for my liking. They dont even show a replay of what happened to get the penalty if it's a handball which makes matter worse for me.

At least if you replay it now, you can see the ball making contact with a hand/arm.

No, I havent. I'm afraid I dont see much of a point. Maybe you could enlighten me? I'd say from my experience, maybe 75% of the handballs called are in the box.

It will get called more frequently outside the box. I get one or two a game. I had to turn off the penalties part because I was getting one called for a penalty every other game. It was too much. But with this setting I see them on lob through passes, headers around midfield, etc. Where you would expect them to be called.

I will also add, that I don't play quick games. So not sure if that is also a factor. I play 15 minute halves. Maybe why I see them as often as I do. You might not get the same result with 5 or 7 minute halves.

Right, thanks. I used to play 15 minute halves, but there was too much scoring, so I play ten now. I'll see how it goes ...

The only time I've seen this crap called on me is when my keeper gets a save at the tip of the box. When he gets up, the animation makes him step out of the box and it's an automatic free kick which is basically an automatic goal.

It's dumb and needs to be fixed.

I've played FIFA14 exclusively with all Handballs on, simply in order to create some Penalties, as without the handball PK there are virtually no other PK's called.

I think maybe once I've seen a keeper called for a PK when coming out to confront an attacker. I've never seen a PK called for a tug on a shirt or push in the back and I've only had a small handful of defenders called for a foul attempting a tackle in the box.
