    FIFA 15 Demo Gameplay Impressions

The FIFA 15 demo launched this week with OS'ers giving plenty of feedback about what they observed. With several playable teams and the ability to really see much of what the gameplay is bringing this year, customers are going to be able to approach their buying decision of FIFA with a quite informed opinion.

We got a chance to play a few games of the demo ourselves, and here are our thoughts on this year's FIFA based on the demo...

I agree with most of your impressions, but I think it's harder to score a goal, the gk are better than in FIFA 14.

The most exiting feature for me is the voice recognition, it's just nice to change tactics and other stuff by voice, the only difficult thing to use was the offside command because it takes 1 second from your voice command until your team is reacting. But the feature itself is just great!

Extremely excited for this game after playing the demo. AI seems to be improved on both sides of the ball. I had about 6 fouls in the game, 3 on each side. This resulted in 2 free kicks. Not bad for the short halfs.

I love it, I've played the demo for FIFA 14, never had 13 or 14. It's really hard for me to score a goal on just Semi-Pro when I play World Class on 12. Also love how the field wears out as the match goes on and if you do a slide tackle the streak shows on the grass. Graphics, lighting looks good. Goalies are GREAT. The player movement in 14 and 15 is pretty hard for me to adjust the way they move, but I love it.

Could possibly be Sports Game of the Year, imo.

I was already going to buy FIFA15; but after playing the demo on XB1, and PC, that was a done deal! The animations, one touch pass or shots are incredible! the game shines on all avenues within the demo; so it can only better on the final build/version! The whole overall feel of the game is much tighter, than Fifa14. I played on Legendary and it was crazy, the stuff the CPU was doing to me; just in the demo! I believe this game is a great purchase, come release; and for those that didn't pick up NHL15, you will love the world's #1 sport once again!
          cheers
btw, I concur with Sanner's and Wigmore's impressions!

The last copy of FIFA I bought was 2013 and I sold it after a week after buying it. It was pretty much the only game I played and I played it religiously but it just got so routine to me. The shooting dribbling defending every was the same. Add on the online play BS and I had enough. Just played the '15 demo and holy f*cking sh*t. Game feels incredible. The gameplay is so realistic and the graphics are incredible. Big difference from the last gen version. Compare this to the f*cking garbage that are NHL 15 and Madden 15 and it's not even close. FIFA's gameplay blows them out of the water. I'm honestly considering buying a PS4 just for this game. I knock EA a lot but they killed it with FIFA '15

I've never skipped a year of NHL, however, after the debacle that is NHL 15 I've decided to ditch out until EA Vancouver gets their **** together. I've been intimidated by the FIFA franchise in recent years and as a result, avoided the product. This is the year I'll be converting from an NHL devout to a FIFA hooligan. This game looks too good to pass up.

the ball spin physics look great, but it kinda seems like the field on like a different layer than the players and ball, it almost looks like they are running on top of a picture of a field.

other than that i think the game looks great the crowd and audio are awesome. can only imagine what other chants they have for other epl clubs. i think fifa is the best sports game EA puts out and wish their other properties would follow fifa's lead.

This is easily a day 1 purchase for me. They continue to improve this franchise and 15 is definitely an upgrade from their efforts last year. I am officially excited for this game and can't wait to start my Tottenham career!

I am a manual player, and it is annoying that some of the same things that hurt the fun of manual are still there. (Auto-switch on passes, auto moves to control a ball, lack of manual control of heading, lack of response for goalie commands.) But it does look nice, doesn't feel too fast either.

easy a day 1 purchase, that much is true. i enjoy the fact that you can FINALLY blow passed defenders w/ speedy players because anyone and everyone KNOWS that fifa 14 made this so ridiculously difficult that it was comical.

defense is broken lol, so u pretty much have to keep containing by switching defenders, but i'm okay w/ that. i still prevent the AI from scoring on world class, so all is well.

                        Beware.

I tried soccer in place of hockey a few years ago and I haven't looked back.

The demo is awesome. I cannot wait for the release. Broadcast camera looks AND feels like I'm watching a game on TV.

The gk is definitely way harder to score on at least on ps4 completely different then 14

I was the same as you a few years back, and don't regret it. Do yourself a favor and start playing the game on all manual controls from day one. Difficulty doesn't matter, but learn the game on all manual. You'll get a lot more out of it.

Yeah, so this demo is amazing. My only issue was that the world class gameplay was a bit too arcadey for me, and goalkeepers need some fine tuning I think. They make some amazing saves, but they also seem to "juggle" between animations on certain shots and let easy balls in from what Ive seen.

Other than that this is easily the smoothest midfield/attacking play we've had in years, the presentation was incredible, and the new team management options seem excellent.
