Why are FUT players prices so high?

It seems like this year, the prices for players in the transfer market are ridiculous. Yaya Toure is going for 200,000, when last year he went for 125k. Courtois is going for 70k... Falcao last year was about 25k but this year is over 100k.


What is the reason for this?

This is a valid question.

Particularly when you see a player who has 28000 cards in circulation and everyone is asking 120000 for the card.

Its a weird market. Always has been.

I personally sell things a few thousand or hundred below the current lowest asking price just to keep things moving.

I would rather sell everything and restock my list than sit on cards and constantly have to repost them.

My best advice is, look for another card with similar stats that is cheap. It's only the name on the card that is different. The cheaper similar stat card will play...well...similar.

It's also early in this FUT cycle...might take a few weeks for the market to settle down.

Players are pretty cheap today due to the fifa uk release. Any new year of fifa begins like this. The prices will raise over the next few weeks after the initial back surge ends.


If you can afford to buy a couple high end players ex. aguero or fabregas these guys will increase in price in a few weeks. You have to look at them as investments over the longer term. im at about 500k transfer profit right now and didn't bother selling a lot of my higher end packed players. just study a players price and then try to find some cheap and hold onto them.
