So far, I beat Man U 1-0, lost to Stoke 3-0, beat Leicester 6-2, drew Everton 1-1, and beat Sunderland 7-0. There is absolutely no consistently in the difficulty level of the CPU. I played very well in the Stoke and outshot them by a ton, but lost as Diouf had a ridiculous bicycle kick and a volley from about 25 feet out. I knew I was going to lose about five minutes in regardless of what I did.
My goalie either stops everything or stops nothing. My shots are either all dead on target or seemingly all off the post (I think I hit the woodwork four times in the Stoke loss).
In the two victories against Leicester and Sunderland, it was like playing on amateur. The cpu marking which is set on around 60 was non existent. I could dribble through the entire defense and do whatever I wanted. It wasn't very fun to be honest.
In the Everton game, I knew I had no chance to win about five minutes in as well as I was constantly being pushed off every single ball by the CPU and they were intercepting almost every single pass. I knew the settings had been jacked up a bit before the match.
Is anyone else seeing this? I don't care about the outcome of the games as much as I do having a good but fair challenge. I hate knowing five to ten minutes into the game that the AI code has raised or lowered the abilities of the CPU to a level that basically prevents wins or in contrast guarantees me a win regardless of how I play.
This seems to make the whole idea of sliders a moot point. Maybe it's just me.
