Youth Academy Bug

Does anyone know if the bug where players have no name, number, or sponsor applies to user youth academy players only, or if it applies to players generated by the CPU teams too?

Also, if you sell one of your youth academy players, does it continue to affect them on the CPU team?

According to the EA Trello page it still shows as under investigation. So unless they stealth fixed it and forgot to update the page it's still an ongoing issue.

I appreciate the reply but this doesn't answer my question at all lol. I'm not asking about whether the bug still exists. I'm asking about the specific nature of the bug.

I've also noticed that it only applies to some of my players. I've signed a few from the youth academy who do have names, numbers and sponsors, and whose arms look normal. Did the bug only start after one of the patches?

My understanding is this only affects players that have a birthdate after a certain date or year. Not sure but that's what I've seen many say is what's going on.

Haven't seen it with any CPU players though. So far I've only seen it with the YA but I'm not big on playing with players without real faces, so others would likely know more about whether CPU players or free agents also have the bug.

Just looked at the EA Answers forum and the YA number issue has a very long bug thread that dates back to September. So it's definitely been there since the beginning. [emoji26]

It applies to players generated by the CPU and free agent youngsters as well, same as the skinny arm bug. Best thing to do is add them to your shortlist or go to edit player and check before signing them. And yeah, once they have it, it doesn't go away.

It’s so annoying. Legit had to delete a long term crystal palace save I had because all my YA players were coming in with blank jerseys. Pissed me off to no end and killed all immersion

I'm done with this game until they fix the no number bug. I'm at the start of my second season with my 1/2 star created club and half my youth academy players are missing the number 99 on their shorts. Playing on ps4 and I don't think I recall this happening in last years game, wouldn't be an issue if I could edit their birthday. One player says he was born in 1980 which would make him 42 and not the 16-18 years old it says he is. You can tell when developers are just there for the money and the pay check. This bug must be affecting everyone playing my career so why would they not be more upfront about the issue. How would ea handle this if it was happening in madden?

Numbers and names on jerseys is kind of a big deal.

I thought we would have at least had another patch released by now to disappoint us when it ultimately doesn't fix these YA bugs or anything else related to CM. With the holidays on deck I'm guessing there won't be a patch before the year is out. Last real title update was released beginning of November. [emoji52]

Since I'm a newbie to FIFA I was wondering if one of the vets might be able to answer if they thought we were going to get another patch? I keep hoping that we'll have one when I fire up the game but nothing yet. Am I hoping for too much?

There's no doubt another patch is coming will it fix this bug that remains to be seen. FIFA gets at least 10 patches/title updates over a given cycle most of the fixes being for everything but career mode. We've only had 3 title updates and 2 live gameplay tuning updates so far.

I bet if they fix it, u have to start an new career. It's mind bordering the Community figured out what's the fix and EA isn't fix it. I wouldn't be surprised if this bug is in the new soccer game from ea.
