Freezes constantly!

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this.

This game freezes constantly online and offline. I had it freeze twice when attempting to make squad changes in game. Two other times in the arena. EA sports needs to stop using us as testers.... I should be getting paid.

Anybody else having these issues? I know it's a widespread problem already but... what the hell.

Can't promise that this will help, and it might sound crazy, but try this. Whenever you start the game don't do it from the dashboard, but open your tray and lift the disc out and sit it back in and hit the load to close the tray. I used to have freezes every time I didn't do this, and have had basically none since. Hope this helps.... Brian

I have nothing to lose so I'll give it a try. The game is awesome otherwise.

No freezing issues here. In fact, you're the first person I've heard complain about it. Not sure it's a "widespread" issue...

I've been checking UK blogs and forums which happen to be flooded with freezing complaints. Since they got it a week earlier, I'm assuming its a better test sample.
I'm pretty sure its a common problem (just like every EA game I own).

What platform? If it is 360, try clearing your cache.

All my 360s that have died all were because of freezing, and never the "red rings of death".

It starts slowly at first, then gets worse and worse. Sometimes clearing the cache can work miracles, other times, it is time to get the console repaired/replaced.

On PS3, thanks for the input though. I'm positive its not the console.

If you're interested, I've been checking UK communities that have had the game for longer. It seems like the freeze issue is predominately on PS3.

360 and I've had 3 freezes within the first 5 mins. All I was doing was trying some moves in the arena and then went back to the menu. It froze, restarted, wouldn't do anything. Then got it to start backup, then it froze before getting to the main menu. Then froze one more time.
