Penalty Kick Help

I understand you need to hold the left stick in the direction you want to kick, but why do they still go down the middle while holding a direction???

This has cost me several games, someone please offer some insight.

Re: Penalty Kick Help

I'm not sure why other than maybe your holding it straight up or down, but go into the arena and dribble into the box and then press a side on the d-pad and keep practicing Pk's until you figure it out.

Re: Penalty Kick Help

If you hold L1 on the ps3. It will be a chip shot during a penalty and will go down the middle every time.

Re: Penalty Kick Help

That had nothing to do with his question

Are you letting go of the L stick? Make sure you hold it in the direction you want it to go while holding shoot.

Actually, it does...

If he's holding L1 (PS3) or LB (360) when he's taking PKs, that would be why everything is going down the middle...

Re: Penalty Kick Help

I think I figured it out. Sometimes I would press down and to one of the corners and it doesn't register a side so it would go straight down the middle. Aiming high to one of the corners seems to register everytime.

Should you be able to aim to the lower right corner depending on your specific analog stick direction? (a grounder if you want to)

I know in International Super Star Soccer, you can aim to any corner, up down or middle, or to the center.

Do you happen to be playing on the 360 or PS3?

Does this mechanic work correctly on the PS2 version?

Re: Penalty Kick Help

I have more of a problem diving (and not diving) with my Keeper on Penalties, then I do with taking PKs.
