Shirt Number Glitch in BAP: Seasons

So, I created my player, a striker, who wears #9. Makes sense so far. I start in the Sunderland reserves, finish my first season and move to Liverpool (who lost to my Spurs today irl!) Anywho, Torres is also #9, but the game let's us co-exist with the same number (confusing for the other team for sure). I recently became El Capitan and went to move myself to the right striker and without, warning the game switches both of our numbers to 128. On my jersey, in game, I have a checkered rectangle in the tens digit, and an 8 in the ones digit. Is there anyway to fix this or am I just stuck with it? It seems like having multiple numbers should have been something they would have looked at, but I guess not.
