Low passes with square

Is there a way to use square but make the pass on more of a line drive? I know you can low and ground crosses, but I want to be able to kick the ball on a line like that all around the field.

One of my friends told me to do the same thing you do on crosses, but that doesn't work for me.

Regular cross = tap square 1 time
Driven cross = tapp square 2 times
Ground cross = tapp square 3 times

Can you only change the trajectory of square when crossing, or can I do the same thing when at mid field?

only when crossing by tap... depending on if the ball is bouncing or side of the foot, you can get a driver... but nothing on the controls.
