I've played over 220 online games so far in FIFA 09. Yesterday and today I encountered two people who had custom teams. I was Liverpool in my first game and the other guy was Man U. He had Torres up front and I recognized him right away, he also had Messi, Eto'o, Sergio Ramos, and plenty more all-star players. How is this possible in an Online Ranked Match? I just started a game against someone who used some Cardiff City team and right away I knew he had a custom team. I waited till the starting lineups to see and what do you know, he has Ronlado, Torres and plenty others.

How is this possible, and how do you avoid players like this???

EA stated that they wanted people to be able to use custom squads in unranked play, but not in ranked play. This was supposedly addressed in one of the updates, but I don't bother with ranked play, so I don't know firsthand.

I love the fact that we can use edited players (since ratings are capped it's mostly equipment) & transfers for unranked online play. I've been playing against therizing online the past few nights and I've been able to throw Diego w/ Juventus and Vermaelen w/ Arsenal at him. But of course, people will take advantage of something if they can and you get super-squads...

I don't know what to tell you. If people are still able to do this, I don't see how it can be avoided prior to the game. Sorry I can't be of more help...

I've never played a ranked match against a custom team. I have, however, seen some in unranked matches.

I have played four people with custom teams in the past few days. And they have all been highly ranked players.

I've seen it a lot more recently. Not sure how you do it or how to avoid it.

The vid on how to do it is on YouTube. Its called Dream Team Glitch, for those low enough to cheat. I just don't see how it is fun to abuse this game.. Ridiculous.
