I spent a few hours tonight customizing all the English teams from all the divisions for my new MM. I'm starting with Northampton in Coca Cola 2 but when I play the games all the teams are still set to high pressure, etc...

I created the tactics before I started the new manager mode and when I check them from the main menu the teams still show the changed tactics.

I also changed the stadiums and their names and that is working fine.

Any advice? Thanks.

This would be sad news. I have been getting pretty interested in the adjustment of custom tactics. I would be pretty grumpy if I spent a bunch of time doing all that work for no reward. Plus, I would like the CPU teams to play with some variety.

Has anyone else seen this?

Does it just say one thing ... but how are the teams playing?

Are you certain that after you saved the custom tactics you set it as the teams default tactic? I made that mistake once and had to restart.

Saving tactics is partially glitched. They sometimes save and at other times they don't. You just have to re-save until they eventually stick. But you won't know for sure unless you shut your console after saving, and then start it up again and check.

Will it be a "some teams save and some teams do not" type thing?

Will I have to re-check each team that I adjust?

Or is it "if one team stuck - they all stuck"?

My experience has been that sometimes the tactics save first try, and sometimes it takes 3-4 attempts. But I've always been able to eventually save. And they stay saved once you're successful. Like I said, it seems to be a small glitch of some sort.

BTW, it could be that MM has a specific issue with tactics showing as saved when they're not, as the OP mentioned. I haven't checked that out. But there are a few bugs in the game's edit/save system that I've come across, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's glitched as well.

You may have to save them to your profile for them to stick.
