Re: Start from the bottom or top?

It's significantly easier to start out with a team at the bottom. Play with a bottom 5 EPL team and your main objective is basically "Don't get relegated". Even I can handle that!

I think the rationale is that you're a novice Manager, so you realistically shouldn't be in charge of an elite team at the beginning, or you would be on an absurdly short rope.

Re: Start from the bottom or top?

I started a MM with Yeovil Town and had moderate success with them. I began getting frustrated with the lack of foul calls on the CPU until I read on here how to fix that. I might go back to them now that I've realized how to fix that problem.

Yesterday I started a MM with Randers FC in the Danish League. I completed a lot of additions as the bench and reserves were minimal. The team is relatively young, which was a deciding factor.

I'd love to start with Arsenal, but I know I'd get the axe right away. My other favorite team is Wolverhampton, so I may start one with them if I get bored. Galway United and Cork City are two other possibilities, too. Both give me a good chance of moving up to a bigger club.

I started out with a small team and got up to 5 stars and then switched. The key is turn off autosave and create a back up. I switched and was able to start with a big club now. The glitch can happen even if you don't switch teams so never auto save.

How about a decent team in the Coca-Cola Championship league? Would I have issues with that or would I need to start even farther down to have a secure job?

I think I dont matter whether you start at the top or not(unless you're playing on Amateur), you will end up at the end by mid season
