Re: FIFA Informer WC Preview

I don't know. I'm a huge fan of FIFA 10 and continue to play that game into the ground. The "World Cup" or "Euro" titles we get every 2 years are usually high quality (and often retail at $10 or $20 less than FIFA to start). But I can't find any compelling reason to play this game instead of FIFA 10, which I can see myself continuing to enjoy until the Fall.

The World Cup titles feel like a "beta" test for new gameplay features. I likes the description of penalties (not that I hate the way they are in FIFA 10), but "You can play as Peru or American Samoa!!!" isn't exactly the ringing endorsement I was looking for.

Mentioned this before, My understanding is that the developers have introduced a 'wider' pitch. Truthfully I do not see that here. I understand there's also a new penalty kick system with added composure or lack there of. I wish this game was more of a digital add-on to FIFA 10. Just can't see myself spending another $60 for this with 11 around the corner.

I'm very surprised this game is releasing at $60. I'll probably end up getting it eventually but not until I can find it cheaper.

As for the wider pitch, that is great news. I hate that in 10, even with the game speed set to slow, I barely have any time to survey the field before having to get rid of the ball.
