That is pretty sad, hopefully they will patch it ASAP. I'm afraid to start my world cup now as that would really piss me off to encounter this.

There's a thread about this on the official EA forums now. Apparently it only comes up when you do a custom world cup, and then it chooses to advance the teams based on goals scored, rather than points.

A huge glitch, and EA had better fix it.
