I was wondering if anyone had any tips when it comes to facing higher star teams? I am playing as Egypt and I drew both Brazil and England in my group.
I play my defense deep and tone down my aggressiveness in team tactics to contain the opposing offense. Also I have used man-marking with success. This results in lower scoring games but they are still out shooting me. I opt for slow build up and short passes to get inside the box because I know they can out run me and out-jostle me on the wings. Even with this strategy I notice that most of my goals come late in the game when their defenders have tired legs and my strikers still have pretty fresh legs from playing a defensive game.
