Trouble finishing goals.

Even my l1 tap shots are going wide on breakaways!! Lol, this is brutal!!!! Any advice for playstation users???

are you using manual or auto? use auto since your just starting out because it will give you better control although you wont be able to play it exactly as you want to. It doesn't shoot for you automatically it just turns your player a bit and aims no matter where you are facing. I find it hard to believe you are able to constantly miss the goal

Do I hold down L1 or R1 on breaks?

R1 is the sprint button, L1 + tap or hold circle is a finesse shot.

Look in the options and study the controls, I think you are mixing maybe your cross and shoot buttons? Cross is box and if you aim at goal and kick it will still go straight and over goal, Shoot is circle

Nope I wasn't tapping shoot, you literally have to just tap it every time..
