Career Mode And Custom Tactics Not Compatible?

Custom tactics are not working in career mode (at least for me). When you start a career mode the tactics each team uses are reverted to default. I only have 1 controller so I can't change it before each game. Does anyone know a way around this?

I have only created a custom tactic for my team, Napoli, however it does
stick. I recommend trying again, make sure to save your Edits, try again.

Sorry Danger but what do you mean you were overlooking the squad option when you start a new career?

I ask because im having a similar issue you were. I went through and changed every teams tactics & saved them individually but then when i start up a new career mode they all revert back to default tactics?

When starting a Career Mode, when you're choosing your settings (i.e difficulty,time,etc.) you'll see a option called squad option, its the second to last option at the bottom. Choose customized squad instead of default or download latest.

Did you do the thing where you edited the CTT for many teams in lots of different leagues? I did this in FIFA10. I built 10 different generic CTTs ... and then (randomly) distributed them to teams. And it "stuck" for my manager mode.

Does this need to be done with FIFA11 (I have not played FIFA11 much yet)? It took a lot of time - but it might be worth it. Especially with all the complaints about aggression and pressure and such. Pressure varied from 20-65 and aggression varied 30-65.

Oh, and yes, the "custom squads" is a key thing that took me hours to figure out ...

I did this for Fifa11 with mixed results. The key changes from last year were lowering aggression and slowing down build up play.

The problem this year is that if you slow down build up play to the level of the generic tactics from the link you posted, it completely nerfs the AI. This happens because tackling is way too easy. Even if you as the player don't use the standing tackle button one of your CPU teammates will inevitably get in front of a CPU player and make the tackle. The AI becomes completely ineffective with a slower buildup because they struggle to even get into the final third.

This issue isn't as noticeable in the English leagues because they have a slightly faster buildup than some of the other leagues like Italy and Spain.

(2) - Could I still use the FIFA10 version of the site ... but go +10 (or something) to "speed" and "pass distance" in the BUILD-UP section? Would I also need to make (minor) adjustments to "pass risk", "crossing", and "shooting" in the CHANCE section?

I am willing to invest the time for editing the CTTs if it is worth it (and I hope that this time does not get "deleted" if/when EA release the next patch for the game).

There isn't a FIFA 11 version that I'm aware of. I used the FIFA10 version and adjusted to my liking. Not sure what type of game you're looking for so I would recommended testing the tactics you're going to use for the league you're playing.

I'm playing in the EPL and getting pretty good results using the default settings from that site. I did try a CM in Serie A though and found the slower build up of the tactics recommended for italian leagues completely crippled the AI.
