Fired?!? What the %&^$! Help!

1-4-4, and just 3 goals scored in 9 games... a bit frustrating, mostly because i simply can't seem to find the attacking third with possession of the ball...

I know how you feel. It took me a while to get used to pro difficulty. For the longest time I would either lose or draw. Now, wins, draws and losses are all pretty even. I would go games without scoring too.

Just keep at it. Try to get it to your strikers at half field and do a give and go and try some lobbed through balls. That's how I first started scoring. I eventually started being able to score after a long build up, that just takes practice.

Also, try some different formations to see which works for you. My default was 4-4-2 but I found I like the 4-3-1-2 much better.

everton defaults into a 4-2-3-1, which is ok, but like i said, i can't really find my target players... arteta is sitting in the attacking center mid spot, and i really NEVER find him with any space to use at all...

whenever i try a 2-front, i seem to get torched for a goal soon after...

i am going to try to but a top-flight striker, IF i last till the next transfer window... Saha (and now Yokubu) don't seem to give me much as a solo target...

cahill has 2 nice goals on headers, he seems my best attacking option out of the wide midfield spot...

sorry - i think i am the one who led us there...

i am still waiting to be fired, 1-5-5 now, 2 more games, a 0-0 draw and a 0-2 loss - still no warning from the board...

i wonder, are there firing "windows" - when it is more likely to happen?

I only got an email from the board about my job status at the end of my season.

Something like "the board is taking your progress under review".

And the a "week" later (by the calender) I got an email that said "fired".

D'oh!

it seems to be a bit arbitrary, as far as "objectives" are concerned... an earlier poster didn't quite meet the objective, but didnt get fired, so perhaps it is not cut and dry...

I think that the higher that your coach prestige is, the more wiggle room the Board will give you.

I was simming a season with Zenit and I was to take the league and the Cup. Took the league and not the cup, didn't get fired. Went from a 0 star to 2.5 in one season. E-mail from Board did say that I accomplished both of the objectives and that they wanted me back for next season....
