I'm poking around the options in FIFA 12 and can't figure out how to play a season mode with a given team....is it even possible? I don't' want to play as an individual player, I want to control the whole team through a season...

in the tournaments mode u can play a "season" but with no transfers or anything... but with the real schedule. Hope that helps -

You can do career player mode and still play the whole team, just no management options. I do believe other teams still trade, and in theory the player you pick could get moved.
This will let you compete in any side tournaments/champ leagues.
Otherwise your option is to use tournament mode as said above, pick the trophy you want to compete for, which could be for any league title and you will play a regular season and playoffs if applicable.Comment

In my player/manager career when I take my guy out for rest I gain control of the whole team. Try manager mode without the player part. If that doesn't work just do player/manager but never play yourself. Also you might try to change the controls before the game. I see the option but I never messed with it because I only want to control my guy.Comment
