I can't win a match against the ai to save my life. I'm only playing on professional difficulty because semi pro is too easy. Even on professional I'm getting creamed.

Computers pinpoint accuracy on passes, their ability to intercept my passes whenever they want, and the alarming rate they score on headers out of corner kicks.

Every AI player dribbles, shoots and passes like they're incapable of making mistakes. Do I just suck, or is the CPU that hard?

You need to change the sliders if you are otherwise capable.

Raise the CPU pass error slider to 85.

Lower CPU speed and accel sliders to 45.

Unfortunatley, no slider can fix that issue. Best you can do is nerf the CPU attack as recommended via sliders, which will help balance the gameplay.

I was the same way & was about to crack the game CD into 2 pieces, then someone here posted some websites that I read through & it really made a difference. I actually play alot better & the game is more enjoyable. Try them out.

No problem. FYI, I play on Legendary so you might not have to raise/lower CPU sliders as much as I did, in order to balance the gameplay on Pro difficulty.

i think his problem is more fundemental though, even at that skill level the cpu does not take advantage of every opportunity. change the way you play. for example if they are picking your passes off, why are they picking them off? are you trying to ground pass to far out? are you putting enough power into your ground pass?

The precision dribbling (LB on 360) works wonders. I was feeling the same frustration until I started employing more precision dribbling when close to or inside the box. It may be just as effective as skill moves when you allow your marker to get close in his attempt to de-possess you of the ball and flick the ball past him on his weak side with the right stick/first touch movement. I've scored numerous goals in the box by beating defenders with precision dribbling. give it a go.
