Wont work unless you have a modded xbox. And we cant discuss that here.

I never patched mine (checked release number last night) and it played fine. Mind you I've never played some of the game modes, just World Cup tournaments and qualifying.

This game IS worth 20-25 dollars (Canadian). It's available in abundance here in Canada. Even if the game is only really a spruced-up FIFA 08, the graphics, realism, crowd, and all the rest of the fluff make it worth a small money dump. Not to mention the great realism of qualifying, it's definitely worth it!

This game is my favorite sports game of all-time.

I decided to literally start redoing the whole 2010 world cup from qualifying to the final tournament (some 250 games in already) and I love it.

I would say this game is well worth the purchase for whatever you intend to use it for.
