Does anyone still have this game, and if you do is it worth a used purchase? I don't play online due to the knuckleheads so I'm not concerned about the servers being closed but I'm kinda feelin' a World Cup tourney for the Spring/Summer and was wondering if I should get this game or just create my on on FIFA 12.

I was looking into this as well. I'm like you and don't play online that much. The only drawback I can see, is that you can't download any of the roster updates, due to the servers being taken down. -

Yeah it's twenty bucks at GameStop, same as the DLC but with much much more content, and real players, thats always a plus! I'm gonna give this a go tomorrow.Comment

Re: World Cup 2010
Agreed. Presentation is fantastic. If it had tactical defending, easily the best game of the FIFA next-gen series, IMO.Comment

Re: World Cup 2010
And it's got Be a Pro (or Captain Your Country) and you can also take a team through all the qualifying rounds.
Presentation overall was pretty great. I still have it, but haven't played it in a while. Gameplay would be the only issue, but I remember having a great time with it.Playing:

Re: World Cup 2010
I really enjoy WC 2010. It was criticized and soon forgotten bc it was smashed between FIFA 10 and 11, it was a $60 game with national teams and it had a short life-span. Going back to it now after tactical defending is a bit difficult (lots of turnovers and pressing), but for a more casual gamer it delivered. I play offline entirely and feel that the WC games were a little more forgiving if you made mistakes, and the qualifying and details in the game were pretty fun.Comment

Re: World Cup 2010
It's a bit more arcady in the sense that it's easier to pass defenders and you can make shots from mid field if you know what you're doing.
At the time it was the best game, though.
Right now FIFA 12 takes the crop by a wide margin.Comment

Re: World Cup 2010
Yeah I still have my copy. And I think you just haveta take it for what its worth. Its a couple years old now. FIFA12 is definitely superior. BUT WC is still fun and awesome. (Speaking of I did never win the World Cup)

Would it be possible to manually update the rosters with a flash drive or something? Because I was considering picking this up too.Comment
