Editing players in career mode?

is there a place you can go to edit your players in your career mode? i mainly just wanna edit my players gear for my youth players and change hairstyles as im sick of them wearing wack generic ea shoes. i dont see a place to do it anywhere in career mode. all ive found is edit kit #'s. any help would be appreciated.
