Speed and Stamina

For the demo of FIFA 13, the 'speed' of the game has been increased from last year. A majority of sim-minded gamers have been crying out for proper fatigue and stamina depletion to be implemented over the years, not just FIFA but seemingly across the board of EASPORTS' titles. I cannot gauge if stamina is more pronounced via the demo. For me Football is marathon mixed with strategy and timing. However what we get year after year is high-pressure mixed with near-zero fatigue.

Hope the retail version addresses both items.

I should explain, my point was more about the online play. Yes of course we have sliders to address speed. Would be nice to have a slider for fatigue as well. I seriously doubt EA has done anything to change. Not excited about another fast-paced arcade-like take on football. And to find out EA has increased the speed of the game even further.

Yeah. I thought I read the developers discussing stamina having no impact on the game last year which lead to a lot of 90 min full court press games. I am pretty sure they said something would be done but it didn't appear that way from the demo.

Knowing EA, if its a massively abused online feature then they will only take baby steps to remedy it. Don't want to loose sales, you know. Same reason it took EA 5 years of complaints to do anything about the quarterbacks in Madden being able to back peddle 20 yards and then throw a perfect cross body bomb.

I wasn't being a smart@ss. Stamina is an attribute for players but it's not adjustable as a gameplay slider.

I took no offense nor smelled any smart@ssness We're on the same page. I just find FIFA to be a somewhat empty game offline unless I play with friends/family at home. Online it's speed, barging with few calls, and of course, lack of diminished stamina.
