The Bundesliga is a very fun league for a career. Lots of good-but-not-great teams, so you have a chance to over-achieve as you build your squad. Plus, the seasons are shorter with 34 games and only one smaller domestic cup. A good first season might see you play 40 games (counting preseason), whereas you could easily play 50+ in England.

Still playing with 1860 TSV Munich, but started a MM with Liverpool. Bought Erik Lamela from AS Roma, Theo Walcott from Arsenal, and the steal of the Transfer season, Darren Mattocks from the Whitecaps.

Lost to CSKA Roma in the final 16 of Europa League

Lost to Aston Villa in the League Cup

Lost to Manchester United in the FA Cup Semi- Finals in penalties

Won Premier League.

Season 2, having trouble off loading Andy Carroll and Spearing, can't give them away.

Started one with Chelsea. Bought Sergio Ramos and sold Ivanovic. Won the community shield over Man City with Torres having 2 goals. I'm bringing El Nino back.

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

Began my career with Coventry city and got promoted in the first year, but system froze during career. Really don't wanna start all over and am trying to find a different team to try and rebuild but maybe already has a few young pieces to work with. Any ideas guys? Preferably not in England, I'm trying to expand my horizons as that's the only league I really know much about.

In my QPR career, I play 3 games in 3 days. First vs. Napoli in Euro league. Next day it's vs Man United. Next day vs Man City. Ridiculous.

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

Transfer deadline day has come and gone in my Bristol City career mode, and I still couldn't find the firepower I was looking for. I went after Ross McCormack hard but couldn't get a deal done, so I had to settle for Rudy Gestede who I was able to get for a cheaper price thanks to Cardiff's penchant for buying every striker who wasn't nailed down.

Final ins:

Ignaci Miquel - Arsenal - (Loan)
Nick Powell - Man Utd - (Loan)
Hogan Ephraim - QPR - (650k)
Rudy Gestede - Cardiff - (230k)

Final outs:

Lewis Carey - Cork City - (Loan)
Neil Kilkenny - Leicester - (320k)
Joe Edwards - Doncaster - (Loan)
Brett Pitman - Middlesborough - (800k)

So far, Im 21st in the table, with goals really hard to come buy.

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

Started one as Aston Villa on Pro. After a slow start drawing West Ham 1-1 then losing to Everton 1-2 and Newcastle 0-2, I've won my last 3 games: 4-1 v Swansea, 3-1 at Soton and a 1-0 win v WBA (Bent winner in the 88th!). Also beat Shrewsbury 2-0 in the League Cup with a weakened team.

So 3-1-2 after Sept, sitting 6th in the league. Written goal is to avoid the drop, but I think a top 10 finish is feasible.

Didn't make any signings but sold Alan Hutton to Soton for $2m and loaned out some youngsters. In the CPU world, Utd bought Mascherano for $26m then sold Vidic to Bayern for $15m. The other big transfer was Tevez to Inter for around $19m.

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

Ever have one of those games where nothing goes right and the computer becomes a world beater?

Playing with Fulham vs. Arsenal, and I lost 10-0! I had been playing really good up to that game too, 6th in the table.

To make matters worse Berbatov broke his toe and will be out 3 months.

I can't wait to get to January and start improving my team. Schwarzer said he is going to retire at years end, and ideas for a good, young, goalkeeper?
