Is there anyway to change it during career mode? I heard cpu teams got bigger stadiums when they were taken over by wealthy investors in fifa 12, not sure if that works for the user aswell.

Manager mode - Upgrade stadium?
Was just wondering if it was possible? I've built up a npower league 2 team and taken them to the Premier league, yet i still have to play in the same default 'town park' stadium. Which kind of sucks playing in the champions league and seeing all these massive arenas, and realising what you're missing out on.

Re: Manager mode - Upgrade stadium?
This is clearly on my Fifa 14 wishlist! Picture this:
All generic stadiums have three variations (capacity and graphics):
- The normal one, which is in the game now
- The first expansion, where you expand one or two stands with a tier. Like Newcastle's stadium.
- The complete expansion, the whole stadium gets an extra tier, a new roof maybe?
To add to that, if you have the funds, a new stadium, where you can choose a totally new, huge, lavish, totally awesome generic stadium for your team. I also expect the generic stadiums list to be expanded VASTLY.
Same goes for the bigger teams who have a custom stadium in the game. If you have the money (also the implementation of going for loans at a bank and getting funds from the city) you can move to a new ground. Figuring EA can't graphically edit existing real stadiums like Bernabéu or San Siro because of license issues. (And face it, expanding the Bernabeu?)
And also, you should be able to buy upgrades for it! New led screens, more parking spaces, hot dogs from real meat instead of...whatever they put in there, retractable windows in the box seats, different seats or placement of walkways so you can expand your capacity with 5000 places for not too much money. All this revolving around a factor like 'Stadium quality' or 'Fan happiness (stadium)', next to 'Fan happiness (results)'.
Right, right?Comment

Re: Manager mode - Upgrade stadium?
i agree having the ability to upgrade your stadium would be nice. maybe add a stadium dl pack and give you the ability to change the stadium anytime during the season.
like the op, i also did a npower 2 team and took them to the premier league. however i did anticipate the stadium issue and picked a larger stadium when i started the career mode. was kinda funny in the lower leagues , the stadium was so empty.Comment

I'd settle for the ability to change the assigned stadium within a career mode. Baby steps, this is EA we're talking about after all.Comment

Some of those sound alot like the stadium relocation from madden. Being able to customize the stadium, and getting funds from the new city to pay for it etc. And saving up income to buy upgrades.
So EA already has the basic settings to work with, but some of these new ideas would be amazing if they were implemented.Comment
