Manchester United Formation Help

What formation found in the game is currently being used by Manchester United? I researched a diamond formation, but am too new to the sport to know exactly which one it is in the game.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Go with a 4-2-3-1, either regular or wide variant.
Van Persie up top, Rooney as the CAM, Valencia and Young out wide. Carrick as a CDM and Cleverly or Scholes at the other, if your familiar with editing the work rates, make that second back midfielder have high attacking work rate.

Also, the 4-4-2 diamond isn't really what they have used in the past couple years unless experimenting with Kagawa along with Rooney and RVP. Last year they primarily ran a standard 4-4-2, either flat or with the outside midfielders pushed up a little bit.

The main thing you want to focus on though is wide play. United are, and have been wide team with Valencia/Young/Nani ect. Pushing the ball up the flanks and crossing it in the box or back to a playmaker like Scholes.
