At the end of season 1 I had some players with expiring contracts, they rejected all my offers and became free agents. What's wrong? No matter how much I offered.

I can't even talk to them as free agents, can't sign them. Is this a bug? I installed all patches (1.4), please don't tell me i have to start my manager mode again.

Dang man...that sucks.

I don't think it's a glitch though, as I've seen 3-4 guys reject contracts saying they want to move on.

After that I realized ALWAYS discuss contract extensions at the start of the season. That way you can sell them in the first transfer window if they decline.
