Freezing in career?

I have had my career mode freeze up on me a bunch of times the past two weeks. It isn't really frozen because I can still change the music that is playing but I can't do anything else. Has anyone else had this problem or know a fix to the problem?

Whenever I've been playing for a long time straight (like 3 or more hours without turning off the ps3) it'll freeze. For example I'll pause the game to make a substitution but it just stays at the pause menu. The console is fine though since I can still open up the console menu and move it, just not the game. I just quit the game (without turning off the system) and open it up again. It happens maybe once every 3 times I play for a long time. Once I restart it though everything works fine.
