Loan and Future Fee

Has anyone had much success with this? I can never get someone to agree to a future fee. I'm bringing Acrington Stanley up from League 2 and trying to get good, young players on loan from bigger clubs, which I can get on loan no problem...but they never want to agree to a fee.

Thoughts?

Yeah "big" clubs want their talented young players to go play on loan, get playing time with a pro team, experience .. and be back.

Try with players on transfer list

I'll give that a try.

Has anyone made this work before? Just looking for an example on how you did it.

Re: Loan and Future Fee

I signed a few. They were squad rotation players without long term contracts. If the other team accepts, they're not looking for lots of money, either.

Frankly the transfers are quite busted in this game. I'd sell 2-3 players every window for peanuts just to clear up some salary budget. Nobody buys when I list them because they think I'd want full value. OTOH they all go for my star player who I'd never sell.

Then I find a team with 5 strikers in the squad, and they won't sell any one of them.

it is difficult to sign anyone period with a lower league team. you will have more luck signing free agent players. after a couple of seasons you will see quite a few stud free agents.

Re: Loan and Future Fee

Every so often I can get them to agree to a fee. The second season that I took Piazon from Chelsea (I'm Bristol Rovers), they agreed to a future fee on him. I also had trouble buying players away from decent clubs. I could be going after a 23 year old getting no playing time at any club in a top level league, club will agree to a reasonable fee, player ends up needing double-triple wages to pry him away.

I agree that you're much better off going after free agents to build your club. You can find some very good 18-19 year old kids in there with OVR's near 70 that will grow into $7-10mm players for you within 2 seasons and help you build some very valuable budget space should you choose to sell them.
