Re: International Job: USA Best Squad... Talent to look for?
I was thinking about this myself as I just reached the 2014 World Cup and have seen some good players develop from the scouting that I have done in the US. There have been three GK's that were pretty good. I do have a few concerns. #1 is that there have been some huge drops in the older players. Howard went to 74. Bocanegra to a 68. Cherundolo to a 66. I get they are older, but are still serviceable. Meanwhile, Shea went to an 80 and Bradley to a 82 as the two highest rated players. Another concern is that I signed a couple of players to my Man U academy. They developed nicely, but my squad was full. When they inevitably wanted a senior contract, I couldn't offer and they disappeared from the game. Very frustrating. Lastly, the game doesn't seem to develop talent by itself. The only players that develop are the chosen ones that you scout. It's just unrealistic. Overall, the national team is a great addition. Playing the world with the US is very difficult and has lead to some great matches.
