Help ; Newbie to the series & soccer

I'd hate to start a fresh thread but I'm dying to get some help from the soccer fans that have followed a lot longer. Played Fifa as a kid but this is the first year buying the game in years.

I played madden CM last year so I know the basic of the mode, but with the transferring stuff and all the other things with Fifa I am loss. So any help would be great.

Also team selection, I started just watching the EPL and started following Chelsea obv they're really well off from the get going and was looking forward to using a team that is young or has a nice young upcoming star to play with, doesn't need to be in the Barclarys league so please help me out guys..

Aston Villa, they have Benteke. Everton have Lukaku.

Aston Villa and Everton are good ones. I like Everton's D a little more but that is just personal pref. As far as transfer windows, think of them as free agent signing periods. In order to sign a player that is with a current team, you will have to pay for the rights to negotiate with them. This is similar to baseball when a team pays insane amounts of money to even talk to international players. You can either obtain new players this way or ask to get a player on loan from another team. Teams will not loan out their superstars and really only do it to get younger players valuable playing time for development. Loans are a good idea if your team budget is low and you do not have the funds to pay for abig name player.
