Goalie Form In Red ?!?!?!?

I'm playing a Manager Career as IFK Goteborg in Allsvenskan. It's taken me 3 years, but I have finally managed, through youth scouting and transfers, to put together an elite team. My record stands at 16-4-1, that includes league and Euro Cup matches. I am getting ready to play my final Euro Cup group stage match v FK Austria. My plan is to start non-regulars because I've clinced a spot to advance to the Knockout stage and my next game is a QF match of the Swedish Cup 3 days later so I want all my 'starters' healthy. So when I was looking at my Squad I noticed that my GK's form is RED!?!? We just lost our first game of the season two games ago and I was up 4-0 in my last game and ended up winning 4-3 (each CPU goal was a rebound off my GK). My question is if I start my backup GK will that help or hurt my starting keeper? I want him to get back 'to form,' I spent $2mm on him this past transfer window (a 75+ GK w/80GK ABIL, was my target). Thanks!

If he doesn't play his form isn't affected. His form level will only change based on his performances on the field. If he is on the wrong side of 30 be careful though. If it's the last game of the month and your goalkeeper is in bad form he might lose some stat points. If you're having problems keeping your keeper's rating up, during goal kicks try giving a short, lob pass to the nearest CB, and then have your CB head it back to the keeper. The keeper will be able to pick it up with his hands and this will register in the game as a save + increase his match rating each time you do it
