I must confess I rarely use driven pass and even can't remember if I ever did it when under pressure. It's not something in my "muscular memory". The animation being faster to finally conclude the pass is an interesting observation. I'm gonna pay attention to this.

In the past, in other FIFA editions, I remember also using really low Pass Speed too, but when I started to realize and pay attention to the amount of times both User and CPU players actually had to run/walk towards the ball, when receiving it, I opted to tolerate those occasional ugly and fast animations.

Also, if I'm not wrong, in FIFA 22 the slower passes used to let the CPU to do tiki taka like crazy even more, without making many mistakes. Don't know if it's the same this year.

I'm using 15/15 Sprint Speed, but together 48/48 Acceleration, or course, to avoid the gameplay to be so fast.

The reason is because if I use anything lower than 15, there will be occasional CPU jockey/shuffle issue in counter attacks and I will ALWAYS exploit it. It's something already solid in my muscular memory, because I excessively use my wingers.
I was using 25/30 Sprint speed as recommended on Version 8

I will try 15/15...

Are you using default or Slow? I forgot

By the way, are you still using 15/15 Sprint Speed and default pace?

After my recent posts and clips, I decided to reduce User pass to 30, just like the CPU, and I'm finding the pace way more realistic and enjoyable! I'm truly thinking it's just as important as using 48/48 Acceleration.

I know Matt has assisted and semi assisted passes in mind, because this is what most people use, so surely there are important reasons for the +5 discrepancy. But, using full manual, 35 is forcing passes to be missiles most times, without the need to ever use RB/R1.

Will upload some clips later to show what I'm talking about.
I actually use 5 for sprint speed and 48 acceleration because I hardly see the CPU shuffle on 5. If I do see it once during a game, I increase it to 15. Tbh to eliminate it completely I should really just stick with 15. Yeah the +5 pass discrepancy probably isn't needed, I haven't tried to reduce it yet though.

Default.

Don't try 15/15 using slow pace. You will experience lots and lots of CPU centre back improper jockey/shuffle issue.

I remember you saying about this method. It's a nice workaround, since it doesn't happen with all defenders, only those heavier/slower, right. And I even tried it once, but I mastered so much how to exploit CPU jockey/shuffle that, when it happens, I will successfully take advantage of it.

When benefiting in the end of a match, in a decisive moment, it's already too late to set 15/15 again. Like we say here in Brazil, "the damage has already been done".

53 shot speed makes such a big difference to how shooting feels. Perfect!

Anyone had anymore look finding a way to win a penalty against the ai yet?? (Without handball)

As promised, here are two clips showing Pass Speed 30/30 using full manual controls. It's still pretty fast, rarely needing to use driven passes.

Also, as I mentioned this week, when using default pace the ball is pleasantly "heavy", traveling realistically.

Re: FIFA 23 OS Community Sliders

Lower pass speed is always a good concept, but there's always a point where it's about what you personally want to sacrifice. For me, you lose the ball physics, such as the ball bobbling or deflecting properly. Even on 30 pass speed, you can see how the first time touches are immaculate in tight spaces. If the ball is deflected off a defender, the ball will deflect to a first touch rather than a proper deflected ball 5-10 yards away from the player.

I think making FIFA into a lighter game and feel than it already is has always been a common "out" for slider creators. The ball in real life doesn't move like a beach ball. This year we have better ball physics than ever - why not embrace it? FIFA has always struggled to make the ball a separate entity, and if we drop pass speed so far, those ball physics that made the ball less glued to the players' feet, and the ball too far underneath them, we lose a lot of what the game is designed to do.

Futhermore, and a point to clarify, I am the project manager of the thread and sliders, but I'm not the only tester. I may use semi/assisted settings at times, but that doesn't mean 4-5 other guys that are using the exact settings. In fact, we have more FUMA guys than we do have semi/assist testing the sliders.
