FIFA 23 OS Community Sliders

New player here. Just got the trial of FIFA after watching some World Cup. Havent played FIFA in years.

Trying these out and I feel like my AI players just literally do nothing. Balls getting kicked right by them and they just stand there. Sometimes even moving out of the way. But the CPU will stop basically anything near them. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I should know about that I’m not doing?

Also, not getting hardly any CPU fouls even when they absolutely level me lol. But i don’t see any kind of slider for that so I’m assuming that’s not fixable.

as regards to fouls make the referee settings to Strict. its not part of the user/cpu sliders but in the Rules settings. happened to me as well completely forgot that you can adjust referee settings

Re: FIFA 23 OS Community Sliders

Does the CPU change formation/Strategy when they are playing against you?

For example losing the game 1x0 and change 4*4*2 to 3*5*2

Ref strictness only changes the likelihood that you get a yellow or red card, not how often fouls are called.

Re: FIFA 23 OS Community Sliders

- Legendary V9B1
- 7 min halves
- Default pace

CPU feel very exposed at the back when playing today. Lots of space between the midfield and defence, as well as between individual defenders - finding it almost too easy to play a through ball and run past them again. Had to actively force myself to not do it in the game I just played out of fear of scoring 6+ goals. I’ve also lowered CPU shot error to 65 and pass error to 55, but they still feel very passive going forward and easy to tackle (if they haven’t already passed it straight to me).

Re: FIFA 23 OS Community Sliders

I implemented these sliders and they significantly change the game.

What formation/tactics/instructions are people employing with these sliders?

Thank you.

Yeah I'm on Legendary (slow) with some harder tweaks, and have had to further reduce AI pass and shot error because they've become quite blunt going forward after the update.

Defensively I've also found the AI have become really passive, either not making an obvious tackle or interception, or staying in their positional quadrant way too long, allowing me to waltz down the middle past them.
I've reduced their width to try and close the gap for them, but it's more their behavior that's problematic and it doesn't feel slider related (bloody patches).
