Kicked to Dashboard after Career games.

My Fiancé got this game for me for Christmas, loving the flow of the game and everything looks great. One problem, after every game I get booted back to the dashboard when I try to return to the career menu. I've looked around the internet and seen some people with this problem but nothing here. I'm on the xbox one. Is this a common thing or do I need a new disc or what? I'd like to get into this game but it's discouraging to get all the way through a game and then get booted every time. Help!

Saw this on another forum and tried it, changing the current player in the player arena fixes this. Not sure why but whatever it's working now.
