Do players in the Youth Academy physically grow?

I haven't seen this question answered anywhere on the boards. I am asking if Youth Academy players grow physically, not if their athletic ratings increase but if their height/weight increases?

Hopefully they do because I can't play with 4'11-5'5 players littering my field, it really ruins the immersion factor if they don't. Luckily I have found some bigger players like a 6'4 goalie but for the most part the players are under 5 and a half feet.

(P.S. I never played FIFA prior to FIFA 14 so I can't call upon previous iterations to pull from).

Sometimes. The 4'11" players will but if they are 5'5" they may not. They will grow until they turn 18. It really depends on what position they play and how old they are.

I have always been wondering the same thing, and through trial and error, I have gotten rather mixed results.

Using a 2* scout, a large majority of my 15 y/o players that I scout join my academy < 5'6" in height. Generally speaking, when these players turn 16, they will grow approx. 3-6" in height.

I find that once they turn 16, they don't grow very much beyond that point. Being as I play with a low level club, I usually don't have the luxury of keeping my players in my youth academy until the age of 18, so I'm not sure whether they grow physically after that point.

What I have noticed though, is that if you pull the player out of the youth academy, they will not grow on your squad, regardless if they are under 18. I wish that wasn't the case, but I haven't had any experience where they physically developed while playing on my team.
