How to make the cpu go on a run?

Two quick questions?

How do you make the cpu go on a run?
Additionally how do you push the ball further out in front of you once you have gotten past a defender on a break?

Sorry for the elementary questions.

In Fifa 14 it seemed that when I would play a through pass the cpu would either already be on a run, or move toward the ball without me having to tell them.

random - Fifa 15 controls like butter. So soo smooth.

On PS4 if you have the ball you can hold L1 and press x and it'll set up a 1-2 give and go situation where you'll pass it and he will immediately break down the field. You can do that all the way down and send guys down the field. I know its not necessarily what you're asking but is a way to make a run.

Any little bit helps. I just like a lot of movement when I am attacking. I'm a decent dribbler, but I much prefer quick passing and movement off the ball.

It's LB on xbox just as info for those users.

Only quirk I see is all the LB runs are straight up the field. I wish they were more contextual and the player ran into the available space.

I saw that it was lb in the controls section, but I wasn't sure if there was something else to it as it labeled it a 'run modifier.' Also, my teammates near me didn't always acknowledge that I had hit the button.

Additionally, how does one kick the ball out further from your body on a break?

Flick the RS stick the way you are running to knock it forward

and yes, the LB to make a run button is sort of unresponsive. I sometimes have to hit it like 7 times to finally have it register and then off the player goes.

I was trying to figure this out last night. That will help me quite a bit.
