I noticed in 2 matches I had last night, Chelsea (me) - Aston Villa (Match Day Live) and ManU (me) - PSG that when a CB, LB, or RB would get injured, play would not stop and they would nonchalantly walk off the field ... This had a HUGE influence in the outcome of my ManU - PSG match b/c I was up 1 goal and my CB got injured. He then walks off the field and Matuidi sends a through ball into Ibra. I was thinking, damn, he is WAY OFFSIDES, so was expecting the flag to go up. Then I see Ibra bang the goal into the net and no flag! So I got into instant replay and I see my CB who was hobbling off the field kept Ibra onsides...
Then in my next game as Chelsea, I got the advantage b/c the Aston Villa RB gets injured, hobbles off, and I send in a beautiful through ball, but noticed in the bottom right corner of my screen that there is a dude just chillin' like a boss, walkin' off the field with no care in the world. BUT I miss the shot! LOL!
Just wondering if anyone has had this happen before. I thought that when there is an injury, ref will stop play and then the team with the injured player will send the ball out and play will resume.
BUT overall this game is awesome! The immersion, player emotion, broadcast presentation, and overall gameplay has been impressive.

Play doesn't stop in soccer for an injury unless the ref deems it to be very serious or a head injury. When play does stop naturally and there's an injured player on the field he will get treatment and the game won't start up until he's off the pitch. If play doesn't stop and he needs it he has to hobble his way to touch so trainers can work on him.
Most of the time players themselves (no instructions from the ref) put the ball out of play when they see an injury but that's a sign of sportsmanship and not required. A few years back under Fergie, Man Utd said they would not play a ball out for injuries anymore because they felt there was too much simulation in the game and players would fake it after a change in possession to slow their counter attack.
I don't think I've ever seen FIFA players play the ball out for an injury. I've seen the ref blow when it was serious but never has the AI put the ball out, nor have they given it back to me after the restart if I did it.
