Talking Points - LT on Offense
I know I can use LT when I am on offense, particularly in the attacking third, to either (a) muscle the defender off my person or (b) keep the ball closer to my feet while I attempt to dribble.
Is it the case that for (a) I am supposed to *pulse* or *double-pull* on the LT? Is it the case that for (b) I should just *hold* the LT down for the duration of my player's movement?
The CPU defense is absolutely owning me whenever I get close to the 18-yard-box ... they so easily tackle the ball from my player - I never get an honest chance to see the goal, and get a shot off ... maybe there is something that I am supposed to be doing differently with this whole LT business?
If I am depressing LT the whole time (or if I am pulsing the LT) while I am maneuvering around the outside of the box - does this encourage the CPU to play more conservatively against me, because my attacker is in more control, and is therefore more threatening (because, presumably, I should be more able to change directions / make a sharp pass / attempt a shot)?
Should I just keep LT pulled the entire time whenever I enter the final third of the pitch? Is this a good idea for passing/shooting/crossing/heading as well? How many things can I be doing with my fingers/thumbs at the same time?
I stink at a *lot* of things right now ... anything that could help is worth it.
