Re: Gaming Laptop for FIFA 16

I'm basically strictly a pc fifa gamer. Unfortunately my laptop I have does not run fifa too well (amd a8). I mostly use it to work on my fifa patch editing/modding on the go.

My desktop runs it really good though and its a mid range pc with an i5 and nvidia gtx650 ti.

I think with a high end quad core processor and at least a midrange gpu, you'll be ok.

It's a little big for travelling (17 inch), but for home use I love it. They have a 15 inch version (Y50) but you have to be careful with which model you choose, because the non-touch version of the Y50 apparently has a terrible screen.
I might get this, are you running Windows 10 on it?

Yup. No issues other than it being trickier to get DS4Windows working properly, but that's a Windows + DS4 issue, not a system issue. And wouldn't affect many people anyway.

No, mine has the 860M. The Y50 has a 960M option, but the Y70 doesn't (and I don't recall the Y50 having the choice when I bought mine, anyway).

Are you able to run the game at its highest settings?

Yes, except for AA, which I drop a little lower. But I haven't actually tried it on a higher setting, so maybe I could raise it up. I just know that on other demanding games (NBA2K15, for example) I have to drop the AA setting down in order to run on the highest visual settings.

Gotcha. Sounds like maybe I should get one with the 970m or 980m just to be safe.
