Missing Something on Training?

Not sure what I'm missing for training in my Birmingham City CM. Whenever I go to the training option, it doesn't give me the option to train anyone. I've only had this title for a few days so I'm not sure if the transfer window needs to be closed to train or what I need to do. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Are you in the part that gives you the 5 open slots? If so, you need to hit X on one to choose a player for that slot.

Thankfully it eventually allowed me to open that window. Before it was grayed out as if it were a gameday, even if there was no game for that day. Thanks for the help though .

You can only open the window on training day. After you are done it will be grayed out until the next training day.
