Real team styles?

Bought FIFA 16 and loved it for a week..but then noticed Watford and Barcelona played the same.

As did Chelsea and Portsmouth.

As did every team.

Any word on FIFA 17 having authentic team styles? This is my single biggest factor in whether I will buy it this year.

Re: Real team styles?

I have seen no difference.

Played the following matches all against cpu on WC

Man city v man utd
Gala v fener
Pana v olymp
Ajax v vitesse
St pauli v fortuna
Gent v lokeren

AI played the exact same in all matches.

Only difference I see is moving up from pro to wc the AI offense is more direct and the AI D tracks central sprinting runs better than pro.

Spoiler

Re: Real team styles?

im playing the ea access trial atm on legendary. ive played against 4 different teams. i could definately tell the difference between leicster city and manchester city.this is the first time since fifa 14 i noticed a difference between teams. leiscter was trying to lob it over the top to vardy alot, and they were playing a very quick counter attack....man city did this slow buildup passing style and pressed hard without the ball.there was definately 2 different styles happening there by the cpu oppenent. not sure why u guys arnt noticing this. i was quite surprised.legendary default plays great also.im pretty happy with this years game overall

Re: Real team styles?

Nope, same as usual on FIFA (sadly)

All teams play the same. You can edit their team styles, though sometimes squad updates reset it.

Re: Real team styles?

I am in the middle of a spoofed UEFA Champions League tournament right now using FIFA 16 and yes I fully agree with what people say that all the FIFA teams play the same which is one of the game's big warts. But yesterday when Barcelona played Anderlecht in a CPU vs CPU match, it was clear that the Barcelona players were a step ahead of their Belgian opponents. It was clear that Barcelona was the better team. What wasn't clear, at least for the first half of the game was whether the better more skilled team would actually win the game because Anderlecht jumped out to a early 1-0 lead followed by another 2-1 lead just before half time. But as I said, it was clear that the Barca players had that extra step over their opponents and they took over the game in the 2nd half to win 4-2. So yes it is unfortunate that FIFA has each team playing the same style of game. But when one team has noticeable more skill than another team, it is easy to observe in the game.
