No matter how long I press the pass button, every pass seems to be a painfully slow one. Not sure if it's just me but how do I put some weight onto a pass or at least more accurately vary the speed? It must be possible to zip the ball between players at a much quicker speed than I am seeing.

Hold RB while pressing A for a driven/fast pass

Manual through pass as well can help if you want a bit more control versus the unrealistic looking driven pass.

What Pass Speed and Power Bar slider settings are you using? If you feel the game is too sluggish at the moment, the obvious solution is to gradually increase those somewhat.

Not using any, I'd expect the game to get passing right out of the box.
