Unavailable for Amazon Preorder?

So, still says "currently unavailable" to preorder the hard copy of '18 on Amazon.

Any ideas on what's going on--or when it will be available? I always buy via Amazon to get the 20% off for Prime.

EA games no longer seem to be available for pre-order from Amazon, or even shortly after release. This was the case with Madden this year, and also with NBA Live. Amazon customer service reps just play dumb when you ask them about it, but it seems highly likely that it's either a pissing match between EA and Amazon, or some sort of pressure from other retailers complaining that Amazon takes too many sales of the games away with their Prime discount and release-day delivery.

If you still have 17, Best Buy is running their trade in promo again. Came out to $24 off for me (trade value + coupon).

I am not sure if it's the case here but I know sometimes Amazon actually drops the price of the game, even for people who don't have Amazon Prime, whenever they buy too many and don't have enough preorders.

I've seen it happen with multiple games (first one I can remember is the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy) where they go unavailable for awhile.

I think you're rite, but bestbuy does the same thing wonder if they'll stop doin it too

Yeah my Madden came late from Amazon so there def seems to be issues.

Pissed.

Already traded in 17. Got pennies for it at GameStop.

Can't justify the extra $ for Ronaldo version either.

So it's available in stores next Friday (29th), correct?

It seems to be that Amazon is withholding physical copies of high demand games to prevent having to give out the discount. Its been happening for months now with all sorts of games. It never happened once before they started offering the Prime discount either. It was very rare for them to be out of stock on a game. Now its common place.

So if I preorder Ronaldo edition, I should get discount and delivered on 26th, right?
