FIFA 21 PS5 Tele camera view - No Shadows Randomly

Can anyone else confirm this to me. If I use 'Tele' camera view on the PS5 there's no shadows on the pitch, unless the ball is on the far side of the pitch.

Makes it unplayable as there's no perception of depth when the ball is off the ground. Shadows are fine in other views.

Seems to be a bug.

Any time of day preference? I'll grab a screen for you just let me know that first, and maybe a stadium you want?

Played around a little more, seems to be certain stadiums. No clear pattern either as to which one's. Certainly floodlight related as it is no showing shadows in night games. Oddly as the ball moves to the top of the screen shadows appear.

If you want to check, play at Anfield, night game with Tele camera view.

Okay I'll grab that screen now, give me a couple minutes.

Haha you're definitely right. I dunno if it has to do with it turning things on and off based on where your player is, or maybe something else is going on, but the shadows you can clearly always see on the default EA GameCam go off on Tele until you get closer to top of the pitch on Tele:

Here is Anfield when I get to the top third:

Here is Anfield when in middle of the pitch:

Then here is Anfield in middle of pitch when on default camera:

Thanks for confirming, seems to be a bug related to that camera view (Tele).

It's not just Anfield, most stadiums seem to be the same when lit by floodlights. Bizarrely in daylight there is shadows, even at Anfield.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out game design-wise why it's happening, and I'm not sure. I don't think it's a rendering thing honestly because they don't wait to render shadows in any other environment that I can tell. It maybe just is something weird like the exact angle of that view messes with it somehow.

I altered the default 'Tele' viewing angle to custom settings and shadows were still missing so it's something to do with the setting rather than the angle. Also it's floodlight related as shadows appear during daylight. Has been to a bug in the lighting somewhere.

I've also added a bug on Madden 21 regarding the lighting at Cleveland's stadium so looks like EA have rushed/dropped the ball with their next gen games. Not quite polished.
