NHL 14 Historic Rosters

I am currently working on the 1989/90 season. So far I have all the players inserted into the NHL View and have 2 teams done which is Winnipeg Jets and the Hartford Whalers. And players like Randy Carlyle he is not wearing a helmet thanks to the NHL DB tool. As for the other 9 teams that wasn't around in 1989 I will be using retired players from the year before and ECHL players. I also plan to do the AHL leagues but will see how much time this takes.

Now did you just overwrite the players or did you actually create them first?

What I am doing is doing team by team rewriting over the players already on the game and editing them on the NHL view. Then I am going into the NHL DB tool and redoing there audio id's ect.

A little update I have decided to go with WHL league to fill the 9 teams that weren't around in 1989/90 you think that is a good idea? also I have the eastern conference about finished. Played a game yesterday between the Canadiens and the Nordiques. Canadiens won 5-1 Patrick Roy was amazing the goals were scored by Guy Carbonneau, Stephan Richer had (2) Mats Naslund , Chris Chelios and the lone goal for Quebec was by Michel Goulet. So far it seems the ratings are set up pretty well. I am thinking around Thanksgiving this will be complete the NHL anyway will have to go through and edit the helmets (no helmets) and change audio ID ect. I plan on doing the full AHL set also and even put some prospects in the CHL.

30 NHL Teams
9 International Teams
5 CHL Teams
1 AHL Team
1 NCAA Team

Can you re-edit the schedual to make this realistic ?

Bretsky. Please hurry with those roster, they sound amazing. I have been doing them for years using Create-A-Player and I can usually get like 10 or 12 teams on a save file because of the created player restrictions. I'm not that adept with using NHLView NG just yet, but I am slowly learning. I also have a ton of spreadsheets and info for all 30 NHL All Time teams if you wanted some ideas.

I also have a 30 year draft team league that I created for NHL 13 that was super fun to play a season with.

Yeah lol, I have a long weekend coming up so I can get a lot of work done then. I already have an idea of what i am going to use teams wise.

Answer: Yes, but not in the 1st release

Also:
1ST ROSTER WILL BE A BEST TEAMS EVER ROSTER WITH EACH TEAMS BEST TEAM EVER INCLUDED AND THEN A FEW EXTRAS. THIS WILL BE SEASON MODE COMPATIBLE ONLY, NON-DYNASTY BECAUSE OF DIFFERENT TIME FRAMES AND STUFF LIKE THAT.

2ND ROSTER WILL BE A 2002-2003 ROSTER THAT WILL BE DYNASTY PLAYABLE

3RD ROSTER WILL BE A 1993-1994 ROSTER THAT WILL BE DYNASTY PLAYABLE.
