    Signing Draft Pics

Signing Draft Pics - BE a GM 2015. So my drafted players need to be 20 years old to play in AHL. Can I leave them in Minors (not AHL) and up until the UFA Status? Or if they are good players will they be signed by other teams. I don't want to take up one of 50 roster spots for guys that can't play in AHL (limited space to field team), BUT I also don't want top end drafted guys to leave as UFA? Please Advise.
FYI- I play with CAP space off, so money not an issue.

    Re: Signing Draft Pics

You can just leave them unsigned until they are either 20 or ufa. If you let them go in free agency by either releasing them when they are ufa or simply not offering them a contract when they become ufa, then other teams can sign them but if you leave them till they are 20/become ufa, and then sign them, no other teams can offer them a contract till you release/not sign them till that time
