You can always turn off the salary cap, but for me, GM mode is all about the salary cap and building a good balanced team with a ceiling.
I agree, but at the expense of losing key players to a glitch is bogus. I turn off the salary cap... HOWEVER i do an "internal" cap that is true to he league cap. That way i stay honest and keep glitchy salary cap issues to a minimal.

Hoping for roster update. Am curious to see them.

Can i inquire, how do you get ratings for prospect players ? Like last rosters for example had guys like Grundstom how almost made the Leafs was rated like 65 ? Just for an example.
Thanks.

We base our ratings on stats, reports and draft rankings. bhrangerfan does a phenomenal job with rookies and future draft classes. So you think Grundstrom should be rated higher? Right now, he's at 71 OVR and 3.5-star Yellow potential.

The ratings you guys do is amazing. I just think that rookies could be a tad higher. That way if you wanna use a rookie his stats make him useable.
1st rounders 75+ (Dahlin 77-80 for example)
2nd rounders 70-75
3rd 68-68
So on...

Well we have many rookies higher than 75 who are NHL ready.

Dahlin: 85
Svechnikov: 83
Heiskanen: 81
Petterson: 78
Tkachuk: 79
Tolvanen: 78
Zadina: 78
Hughes: 78
Boqvist: 77

And so on. We created them with these OVR so they could play in the NHL the year they were drafted. Like for 2019, Jack Hughes is currently set at 83.

Re: PS3 NHL Legacy Rosters - 2018-2019

We tested the roster file with edited salaries to fit the game Cap Hit to see what it would be like in upcoming years and if it would solve the RFAs problem in years 2-3-4. It looks very promising!

So here's what we will do: since the 2014-2015 Cap ceiling was set at 69M$ and is 13,2% lower than 2018-2019 Cap ceiling (79,5M$), we will lower all salaries by 13,2% so all teams will be Cap compliant. In previous releases, we removed Nathan Horton, Marian Hossa, David Clarkson, Derek Dorsett and Clarke MacArthur because it messed the Salary cap for their respective teams, but with the edited salaries, we will put them back and teams will have to manage their contracts. However, those players will be set at 36 OVR since they don't play anymore.

Plus, I'll have a nice surprise for those who would like to enhance the NHL gaming experience.

Stay tuned!

Amazing.
Just a suggestion. I think Johnsson is the best prospect, certainly any NHL'er this upcomng season, should be 80. Grundstrom s most likely a 4th liner this year so maybe 77 ? He's higher rated than Bracco (74) and Liljegren is higher ceiling than Borgman, i'd have Borgman at 78-79 and Liljegren at 80... Everyone else is perfect !!
